Was born on August 11, 1922, in Armenia.
Graduated with honors from Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts, Georgia in 1946.
During the same year she completed a special course in Moscow led by famous masters Mukhina and Tomski.
In 1947 she accepted the invitation of Ara Sarkisyan, president of the Yerevan State Institute of Fine Arts, and she started career as an instructor. Since then:
Participated in numerous exhibitions organized by Artists Union of Armenia and Soviet Union. Her sculptures embellish towns, museums and private collections in Armenia and outside the country.
Tereza Mirzoyan was a head of the Sculpture Chair and Studio in the Yerevan State Institute of Drama and Fine Arts.
In the beginning of 21st century:
Solo exhibition in Los Angeles, USA
Completes the bas-relief of Saint Peter in Saint Grikor the Enlightener Mother Cathedral, Yerevan.
Her sculptures receive Awards during exhibitions dedicated to 1700th anniversary of proclamation of Christianity in Armenia.
Continues academic activities in and creative works.
During 55 years long academic life Tereza Mirzoyan has nurtured several generations of Armenian sculptors. Her students are well-known sculptures, professional teachers of Fine Arts who carry on the timeless traditions of true Art, and human kindness instilled by great master.
The main themes of Tereza Mirzoyan’s creative works are maternity, love and spring. There is an amazing combination of a poetry, heroism, boundless joy, and deep sadness in her art, created from different materials such as marble, tuff, porcelain, wood, bronze etc.
